General information

Entrance

To enter Egypt, most European citizens need a visa and a passport which is still valid for at least 6 months after the day of return.

The required visa can be purchased at the airport for an amount of approx. Euro 20,00.

Transfer & Beginning of the safari

After your arrival in Hurghada or Marsa Alam we will bring you to the boat, normally by air-conditioned coaster. Next day in the morning the boat will leave the harbour.

The boat will enter the harbour in the afternoon of your last day of diving. The last night you will spend on the boat in the harbour (in exceptional cases in a hotel). The day of departure you will be at the airport in time.

Please recognize that the harbour of Marsa Ghalib is still under construction. Noise pollution is not avoidable.

Safaris

To participate in our safaris you must be a certified diver with sufficient diving experience. You must be capable to dive with your buddy, for our divemaster might not be able to accompany you on all your dives.

Please understand that our captain, due to weather and strong current conditions, sometimes has to change the safariroute.

For some individual reefs and diving areas, for example Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef, Zabargad and Rocky Island, special permission is required. These permissions can be cancelled by the egyptian authorities at any time.

The extensive technology on board of the boats, in particular the generators, can be subject to disruptions. In this case it is possible that air condition, water supply, etc. is only available at a reduced or minimum rate.

Minimum dive experience at National Park-Safaris

According to the rules of the Red Sea Diving Association (RSDA), diving at all National Park-Safaris (like Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef, Zabargad and Rocky Island) requires a minimum number of 50 logged dives.

In case of a control by the RSDA it is possible that divers with less experience are not allowed to dive.
